Garbitch Branding

School project, 2023

For this project I created a Brand Book for my classmate Nina Bolton. Her brand is called Garbitch. Garbitch is an autonomous creator who has a fascination with waste and uses it as a metaphor for her own mental health status. Garbitch seeks to establish a connection between mental health and societal issues, aiming to encapsulate both of these elements. Waste takes a central role in her work as she aims to raise awareness regarding capitalism, disposable culture, consumerism, and climate disruption.

I created a Coffee Table book entirely in her style, completely made out of trash. The cover is crafted from an old paper bag from a fast fashion chain, and the binding is made from drawstrings from a trash bag. Throughout the entire book, I incorporated only waste materials. Additionally, I designed a Garbitch font and logo in which I morphed each letter into the shape of a garbage bag.
